On the palate though the slightly bigger flavors possess only a bit more volume but notably more power and particularly so on the even longer though not necessarily more complex finale. Domaine de Montille在勃根地有讓人深感啟發的事，1950年憑藉僅2.5公頃的葡萄園開始，Hubert de Montille在管理酒莊的同時，仍然以律師的身份工作，他的兒子Etienne自1990年開始漸漸接手酒莊的工作，將Domaine de Montille逐漸推向市場前端，並在15年前以生物動立法的方式栽植葡萄，開始收購葡萄園，漸漸的，將原本2.5公頃的葡萄園擴大至如今約35公頃，因應不同的氣候狀況，Etienne de Montille在許多年份發酵過程中，以50%以上的整串葡萄進行，不使用過多的新桶，通常僅使用約30%或是更少，僅有高階的酒款會使用到40-50%的橡木新桶。
過去十年以來，Domaine de Montille的酒款皆維持著優良的品質和合理的價格，有著絕佳的陳年實力，廣受愛好者和酒評家的青睞，其中最特殊的酒款，莫過於Vosne Romanee Les Malconsorts Cuvee Christiane 1er Cru，Etienne de Montille持有的Aux Malconsorts因特殊的風土，分別釀造兩種酒款，其一為一般的Aux Malconsorts 1er Cru，另一款則是由位在La Tache Joly de Bevy東南邊約0.4765公頃所釀造的Les Malconsorts Cuvee Christiane 1er Cru，這片葡萄園就位在La Tache內，雖然未能成為其中一部分，但因獨特的地理位置，仍然具有著相當優越的風土條件。
